BMC
was founded in 1973 and until 1991 was essentially
a motorcycle accessories distributor.Some of
the brands traded were Yoshimura, Bridgestone
and Kayaba. Since 1991 BMC started also distributing
technical products for cars: some of his first
customers have been Cosworth and Ferrari. In
1995 BMC started producing his own air filters
due to an inquiry of F1 air filters from Ferrari
Team. From race air filters starting manufacturing
air filters for street cars is easy. Now BMC
range includes panel sport air filters, conical
air filters, direct induction kits and Carbon
Airbox. Main BMC's aims are product quality
and enlarging the products range in the quickest
way. BMC air filters are designed and produced
by Italian Engineers to be used in extreme conditions
and to give you the highest performance. Since
1996 BMC air filters have equipped some of the
most important Teams in F1 and American Le Mans
Series like Ferrari, Prost, Sauber, Minardi,
Porsche and Audi. Thus demonstrating the high
quality level of the product. |

| BMC
air filters are designed and produced to ensure a higher
air flow than original paper filters. In F1, for example,
BMC cotton filters minimize the loss of air flow pressure
passing through the air filter; this way ensures the
best conditions for full exploitation of maximum power.
Therefore the benefits of replacing the original paper
filter with BMC cotton air filter, produced using the
same technology and materials as the F1 air filters,
are evident. |

| CDA
filtering system is composed of a cylindrical carbon
air box containing a washable filtering element. Substituting
the original air box with our CDA, cold air is directly
channelled through an internal airflow deflector to
the filter and drawn into the engine with a very small
pressure drop (patented system). The CDA system also
includes a black alloy ducting (60 cm length) for connecting
the system to an air intake on the front of the car.
The system is available in two different dimensions:
we advise Type 1 for engines up to 1,600 cc; Type 2
for bigger displacements. Every type is also available
in different diameters on engine side for connections.
Dyno and Datron Laser tests demonstrate the great performance
of CDA filtering system. |
