| The "Alfano" lap
timing system is contained in a small Formula One /
Indy Cart type dashboard, easily installed on your steering
wheel. "Alfano" provides you instantly with
lap times, lap-time differences and a wealth of data
about the running condition of your engine. By giving
you all the necessary information in REAL TIME on a
LARGE DISPLAY, "Alfano" helps you react fast
and thus beat the competition. "Alfano" also
enables you to recall all data while in the pit and
even to download it to your PC for deeper and more sophisticated

magnetic sensor and cable. Can display current lap
time, difference between last lap and best lap,
up to three split times for each lap, rpm gauge
with alarm, engine temperature with alarm, engine
number (up to 5 engines), engine running time, number

data for a full 98 laps and also has infrared port

Water
Temperature Sensor
Install by cutting off the hose coming from the engine and slide the fitting
in. Use the clamps to tighten the fitting and screw the temperature sensor
into it.
On your Alfano Pro unit the temperature should be set on: 1toF(Fahrenheit)
or 1toC(Celsius)
Existing sizes for the fitting are: 5/8"(17mm), 3/4"(19mm),
1"(26mm).

Cylinder
Head Temperature Sensor
Install by removing the spark plug ring and replace it with this cylinder
head temperature sensor.
On your Alfano Pro unit the temperature should be set on: 2toF(Fahrenheit)

Water
Temperature Sensor (Rotax Max type)
Such water-cooled engines as Rotax Max, Parilla, Vortex,..as well as
many others have a special socket for this temperature sensor.
Install by taking out the screw and replace it with this temperature sensor.

Infared
Receiver
The "ALFANO" lap-timing
system is composed of a display on the steering
wheel which is connected to an infrared receiver
located on the fairings of the kart. It receives
information from the infared beacon.

Beacon
The infared beacon is
installed on the trackside and works with the
infared receiver. Each time the vehicle passes
by the beacon, it sends information to the infared
receiver, then "ALFANO" gives the lap
time. (The magic eye of the receiver has to face
the infrared beacon).
